Harbor Freight

The poor man's Home Depot

Harbor Freight catalog.     Okay, I admit it. I love Harbor Freight. I do. I love their prices and I love the fact that one of their stores is less than three miles from my house. I get their print catalog in the regular postal mail and I get periodic email alerts when sales go in effect or new products get introduced. Their air tools and accessories are made mostly by "Central Pneumatic," and their power tools are predominantly "Chicago" brand, a brand I've heard several people talk badly about in the past. These people didn't own any Chicago brand power tools themselves though, and probably didn't know anyone who did, so I have to wonder about the validity of their assessments. The cheapest product often gets a bad rap just because it's the cheapest. I've used Chicago brand tools extensively for the past three years and have had zero problems with any of these tools in that time (knock wood).

Additional Harbor Freight vendors:
Central Forge
Pittsburgh
Central Machinery
Gordon
Drill Master
Haul Master
U.S. General
Storehouse
