A look at 3 Mutts traffic...
launched 6/5/07 - indexed by google 6/9/07
I did say this website was a test. It's also a test that has only just begun. To even have any tangible results at this point is, in my opinion, a success in itself. 3mutts.com officially went live June 5th, 2007. The first pages began showing up in Google's index approximately four days later on the 9th, and the first actual visitor arrived at 9:46 a.m. on the morning of the June 10th. I didn't notice it at the time because I was busy fishing with my brother and nephew. This chart shows a nice progressive increase each day as new pages are picked up by Google.
This chart shows the types of web browsers used by visitors to 3mutts.com in the month since the website was launched. It's not much surprise that the predominant browser is still IE 6. What is surprising is the 26% share owned by Netscape's 6.0 browser.
The different operating systems installed on the machines of the visitors to this website during the last thirty days. Windows XP is not distinguished from Windows 2000 and the two get logged as the same OS. Macintosh (68K) is disproportionately represented in this chart as well. Most of the Mac 68 pageviews were generated by three visitors and a more accurate percentage for this particular system would be around 1.5%. Sorry Mac people but that's just the way it is.
Again, we're still in the early days. The idea for this website hadn't even been conceived two months ago, although it had been brewing for over a year, and the first page only went online a month ago.
